The development of comprehensive utilization of waste resources is an important part of the development of circular economy and the construction of a resource-cycling society. Using the empirical research method of multiple linear regression, this paper selects panel data from 30 provinces, autonomous regions, or municipalities directly under the central government of China from 2012 to 2021 to investigate the effects of the industry's development of comprehensive utilization of waste resources on the emission of pollutants in the environment. With common industrial solid wastes utilized and legal person capital as the main explanatory variables and total nitrogen oxide emissions as the explanatory variables, SPSSAU is utilized to empirically analyze the above factors. It concludes that the overall amount of nitrogen oxide emissions will increase by 51.356 tons for every 10,000 tons increase in the amount of common industrial solid wastes utilized extensively, which may be due to the imperfect technology of production and treatment facilities, mismanagement by the regulatory authorities, and the fact that solid wastes contain relevant substances and thus unavoidably produce emissions, resulting from the above three reasons. for every 1 unit increase in the square of legal person capital. The total amount of nitrogen oxides emission will be reduced by 66.75 tons, which can significantly reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides. In this paper, the model is considered robust by replacing the explanatory and interpreted variables in the robustness test.
