Abstract

Taking listed companies of Chinese manufacturing enterprises as the research object, this paper utilizes the method of empirical analysis to deeply explore the relationship between environmental responsibility and financial performance of Chinese manufacturing enterprises. Enterprises' environmental management behaviors are exposed to the public through social media. Enterprises get media attention by fulfilling their environmental responsibilities, improve their business conditions, and ultimately enhance their corporate performance. The study enriches the related research on CER and financial performance, explores the impact of new media based on existing traditional media research, and makes policy recommendations on how to promote corporate environmental responsibility to enterprises, media, government and the public.
