This paper investigates the project scheduling problem with single-mode human resource constraints under the minimised duration target. In civil engineering construction projects, human resource is one of the key factors that constrain the duration. In this paper, an integer planning model considering human resource constraints is constructed with the aim of minimising the project duration by optimising the allocation and scheduling of human resources. By introducing an efficient solution algorithm - CPLEX optimisation technique, this paper successfully solves this complex problem and provides real cases to verify the effectiveness of the model and algorithm. The results show that a reasonable human resource scheduling strategy can significantly shorten the project duration and improve the efficiency of project management under resource-constrained conditions.
