Abstract

College counselors bear the important responsibility of ideological and political education. Counselor's ideological and political education ability is an important manifestation of their comprehensive quality. The ideological and political education ability of college counselors is manifested in the guiding ability of ideology and politics, the operational guiding ability of ideology and politics, and the research and innovation of ideological and political theories. However, at present, there are many problems in the ideological and political education ability of counselors: insufficient political guidance, disconnection between business guidance and ideological and political education, and blank academic discourse power, which requires to carry out ideological and political guidance when dealing with daily affairs; strengthen the construction of the incentive mechanism for counselors' scientific research; provide solid backup supply and establish a sound assessment and evaluation system.
