This paper discusses the importance of art education in preschool education, especially its role in cultivating children's creativity and aesthetic ability. Through the review of relevant literature at home and abroad, this study deeply analyzes the cognitive and emotional development of preschool children in the process of art learning. It is found that art education can not only effectively promote the enhancement of children's imagination and creativity, but also help children establish a unique understanding and feeling of beauty, and thus enhance their aesthetic ability. This study uses a variety of research methods, including observation methods, case studies, etc., to fully understand the performance and experience of preschool children in art learning. The results show that through artistic activities, children are able to better express their feelings and thoughts, and at the same time, they are able to understand and appreciate art works more deeply. Based on the above findings, this paper puts forward a series of strategies and suggestions to strengthen art education in preschool education, aiming at providing more specific guidance and help for educators, so that they can better implement art education in practical teaching and promote the all-round development of children's creativity and aesthetic ability.
