The Translation Criticism Paradigm in Multicultural Context

Abstract

As times are progressing, so does the civilization developing. The development of translation practice and research results also evolves with the cultural progress, and drives the research development of translation criticism. Furthermore, translation criticism is an important link between translation theory and practice (Newmark, 2001). This paper introduces several translation criticism paradigms which are connected with cultural context and gives some examples of cultural background translation involved in the development of translation criticism. On the basis of previous research, this paper puts forward the theory of new translation criticism paradigm in the multicultural context, so that to enrich the relevant research of criticism paradigm under the cultural background, and provide reference ideas and directions for the research of translation criticism paradigm.
