Abstract

Malaysia has a large number of ethnic Chinese. According to the data, the total population of Malaysia in the third quarter of 2024 is 34.1 million, while the ethnic Chinese account for 22.4 percent of the population. The purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of Chinese culture on the education of ethnic Chinese in Malaysia. Based on cultural capital theory, supported by the data, the analysis is provided.
