Abstract

This study proposes an AI-powered medical companion service system entitled “Heart Bridge Guardian,” aiming to address the prominent healthcare challenges encountered by elderly individuals living alone or lacking adequate family support. Integrating artificial intelligence technologies, standardized healthcare protocols, and volunteer service networks, the system delivers one-on-one medical escort services encompassing medical appointment scheduling, in-hospital navigation, and post-treatment followup management. A three-dimensional innovative framework is constructed, which integrates theoretical modeling, technological R&D, and empirical validation. For user interaction, the system adopts a WeChat mini program as the core access terminal; technically, it implements a dynamic matching algorithm based on Location-Based Service and leverages block chain technology to ensure data integrity. Furthermore, a tripartite collaborative mechanism is established involving community hospitals, nursing institutions, and volunteer teams. Pilot trials were conducted in two communities, covering 50 service cases. The results indicate that the system reduces the olderly’s healthcare-related time costs by 40% and significantly enhances service transparency. This research not only enriches the theoretical and practical landscape of smart elderly care models but also provides valuable implications for the integration of AI into public health service systems.
