This study focuses on the ripple effects of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on China's sugar industry stock market in 2022, with the aim of providing insightful guidance for investors and policymakers. Quantitative exploration employs regression models to deconstruct the evolving narrative of conflict and sugar company valuations, complemented by in-depth case studies and expert interviews. These narratives reveal how war subtly reshapes market volatility through concrete business stories and expert insights. Text mining techniques are used to extract unquantifiable shifts in market sentiment and perception from news reports and commentary. Cross-border comparisons are drawn, contrasting the performance of domestic sugar companies amidst the conflict with their counterparts in affected countries, highlighting both commonalities and uniqueness. The policy analysis delves into the regulatory environment of China's sugar market and how war policy-making and market response, pinpointing potential policy challenges.
