Abstract

Northeast China plays a significant strategic role in the country's overall development, particularly as a traditional heavy industrial base that has had a profound impact on the national economy. Since the revitalization strategy for this old industrial base was launched in 2003, the region's comprehensive economic strength has steadily improved, with gradual optimization of its economic structure. However, despite progress in the financial sector, challenges such as inefficient resource allocation and insufficient support for industrial innovation remain. This paper aims to study and highlight the positive role of financial structure optimization in promoting industrial upgrading. By conducting an in-depth analysis of the region’s industrial upgrading paths and the characteristics of its financial structure, the paper explores how optimizing financial structures can effectively drive industrial transformation and upgrading. Ultimately, the paper seeks to establish a systematic theoretical framework that provides a foundation for future research and offers theoretical guidance and references for practical applications in Northeast China's economic development and industrial policy reforms.
