Abstract

This article briefly introduces the history of the birth of lithium-ion batteries and discusses the necessity of studying how to make lithium-ion batteries work properly under low-temperature conditions. It also introduces the development of ternary materials, a common material for lithium-ion batteries, in the past two years, as well as the working conditions and performance advantages and disadvantages of ternary materials and another commonly used positive electrode material, lithium iron phosphate, in different environments. Finally, a comprehensive overview of the development path of lithium-ion positive electrode materials under low-temperature conditions is given.
