Effective and reasonable chemical design of ethtlene glycol production process is of vital significance for the further improvement of our ethylene glycol production capacity. This paper carried out reasonable design of ethylene glycol water lawful production process, using reaction rectifying tower device, and optimizing calculation for each link of production, so as to obtain satisfactory products. In the comprehensive consideration of production efficiency and cost saving and other aspects of the relevant equipment is reasonable selection, and draw the PID process flow chart. It is expected to produce 500,000 tons of pharmaceutical grade glycol with mass fraction of 99.89%.
