This paper delves into the innovations and challenges of mathematical algorithms in the development of artificial intelligence. The fundamental position of mathematical algorithms in artificial intelligence and the demand-driven mathematical algorithms in the development of artificial intelligence are described. The improvement of traditional mathematical algorithms, the emergence of new mathematical algorithms, and the algorithmic innovation brought about by interdisciplinary integration are analysed in detail. Meanwhile, the challenges faced by mathematical algorithms in the development of AI, such as computational complexity, data quality and uncertainty, interpretability, and ethics and safety, are analysed in depth, and corresponding coping strategies are proposed. Finally, the future development of mathematical algorithms in AI is envisioned.
