Abstract

Spindle bearings are integral components of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools, influencing their precision, performance, and reliability. The rapid advancement of CNC machining technologies, characterized by high-speed operations, high loads, and the demand for greater precision, has driven the evolution of spindle bearing technology. This paper explores the development of spindle bearing technology, including innovations in materials, structural designs, cooling technologies, and intelligent systems. Key challenges such as thermal management, material fatigue, and precision under extreme conditions are discussed. Furthermore, the role of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as sensor integration, predictive maintenance, and adaptive control systems, in enhancing spindle bearing performance is analyzed. Finally, the paper identifies future trends in spindle bearing research, highlighting the need for sustainability and economic considerations in the design and application of advanced bearing technologies.
