The classification of frozen soil is a key issue in the research of frozen soil. At present, there are many existing frozen soil standards in China which have certain differences. This paper compares the principles of frozen soil classification in the existing domestic standards, summarizes the methods of frozen soil classification on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau which has a special geographical location, and puts forward reasonable suggestions for the classification of frozen soil.
