Consecutive interpreting is a common form of translation. In this paper, we will discuss the importance and practical significance of this form of translation, the theoretical basis of consecutive interpreting, and through analyzing the theoretical basis of consecutive interpreting as well as relevant cases, we will explore the skills and strategies of consecutive interpreting, as well as the methods and means of assessing and improving the quality of translation.And then, we will select representative and challenging cases, deeply analyze the process and characteristics of consecutive interpreting, as well as the problems and deficiencies, and put forward targeted improvement suggestions and optimization plans.
