With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, generative AI represented by ChatGPT has demonstrated tremendous potential in the field of education. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the challenges posed by AIGC to Python programming courses, this paper delves into the new situations and issues faced by Python programming courses, and proposes to reform traditional teaching modes by utilizing generative AI technology. At the specific implementation level, the reform content covers reconstructing teaching modes, enriching teaching resources, realizing personalized learning, and establishing a multi-dimensional evaluation mechanism. Teaching practice has shown that integrating AIGC into the teaching reform of Python programming courses has not only achieved good teaching results but also received positive feedback from students, providing a reference for innovation in higher education teaching modes.
