Abstract

In view of the current gender inequality phenomenon and the root cause of the concept, this paper uses the data of the 2017 National General Social Survey (CGSS2017) to study the factors affecting the individual's gender equality concept, and analyzes the gender heterogeneity of the impact effect. In terms of empirical analysis, through the binary classification logit model, constructing gender equality as the dependent variable, gender as the main benchmark independent variables of regression model, and the introduction of gender and age, level of education and the difference of urban and rural areas by regression analysis. The results show that there are significant gender differences in the gender equality concept of Chinese residents. The gender equality concept of female is stronger than that of male, and the gender equality concept of different age groups has stronger internal consistency. At the same time, gender differences also exist between urban and rural areas, and the differences between male and female gender equality concepts in non-rural areas are larger than those in rural areas.
