This paper explores the application pathways of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in cultivating data competence among journalism and communication professionals. The study finds that AI technologies can effectively enhance abilities in data acquisition, analysis, and storytelling, yet they also pose risks such as insufficient data authenticity and algorithmic bias. The research proposes a "human-AI collaboration" pedagogical framework, constructing application strategies from three dimensions—course objectives, content, and teaching models—while emphasizing the central role of critical thinking and ethical judgment. This provides theoretical reference for reforming journalism and communication education.
