Ergonomics: Designing Sports Dance Program for Teachers

The researcher aimed to explore the application of ergonomics in educational settings, which led to the design of a sports dance-inspired professional development program for Chinese educators. The study sought to assess teacher respondents' appreciation and participation in ergonomic activities and their impact on professional development, considering demographic variables. The researcher used a descriptive-quantitative research design and used the teachers/professors of the three (3) universities or colleges in China teaching Physical Education specifically different sports and dancing as the respondents of the study. The study highlights the need for a sports dance-inspired professional development program for Chinese educators. Such a program could enhance teacher engagement and improve the perceived impact of ergonomic initiatives on their professional development. The recommends to emphasize the importance of diversifying participant demographics in research, implementing tailored feedback mechanisms, and enhancing ergonomic training in professional development for educators. Additionally, establishing a sports dance-inspired professional development program for Chinese educators aims to improve teaching methodologies and student engagement through creative movement, promoting physical activity and overall well-being.
