Abstract

 Phonetic transfer stands out as a vital part of language transfer in second language acquisition. This paper renders a pithy literature review apropos of current studies concerning the phenomenon of phonetic transfer that is arguably contemplated from three phonetic transfer error pertinent aspects: segment, phonology and prosody for the purpose of gaining new insight for the future research.
