Abstract

Taking Lesson 1 of Advanced English I* as an example, this paper demonstrates how to extract elements of ideological and political elements in teaching at the discourse level and integrate them into professional courses based on the curriculum standards and text content, strengthening the fundamental role of the curriculum in establishing virtues and cultivating students. This case won the Special Prize at the 2024 National Competition for Moral Education Cases in Foreign Language Courses in Universities, which can be served as an example for moral elements design in English reading courses.
