This study focuses on the thinking qualities cultivation goals proposed in the "Senior High School English Curriculum Standards (2017 Edition)" and explores the role of problem chain design in fostering students 'cognitive qualities in high school English reading instruction. It aims to provide data and theoretical support for English reading instruction practices and related research, promoting the effective implementation of cognitive quality cultivation in high school English classrooms.
