The relationship between anxiety and foreign language learning is investigated from the angle of physiology, emotion and behavior firstly. At the other end of the spectrum, moderate anxiety, to certain degree, do good to language learning. Then, some teaching suggestions are proposed from the perspective of production-oriented approach for the purpose of leveraging facilitating anxiety while avoiding debilitating anxiety.
