Abstract

This paper explores the inheritance and innovation of Chinese art songs. By tracing the historical context of Chinese art songs and analyzing their creative characteristics and works in different periods, it delves into the innovative application of traditional musical elements in modern art songs. The paper also examines the current state of art songs in music, cultural dissemination, and popular culture, and proposes suggestions for their future development. The research shows that Chinese art songs not only inherit traditional culture but also continuously absorb modern elements, forming a unique artistic style. In the future, the development of Chinese art songs needs to actively explore innovative paths on the basis of maintaining traditional characteristics, so to promote the continuous prosperity of this art form.
